The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.7 Patch Notes

Overview: Hotfix 1.2.7 brings significant improvements to The First Descendant, focusing on Void Erosion Purge endgame content, weapon balance, and enemy spawns. Nexon Games aims to enhance gameplay by refining difficulty settings, increasing weapon effectiveness, and optimizing enemy behavior. Future updates will introduce additional balance changes, though adjustments may take time due to Season 2 Episode 2 development.


Key Updates

Void Erosion Purge Improvements:

  • Stages 26 & 27 now available in Public Operation.
  • Enemy Adjustments:
    • Elite Wardens’ ranged skills reduced from 8 to 3.
    • Normal and Elite Trackers no longer apply Chill status effect.
    • Beam attacks of Normal & Elite Farseers, Trackers, and Abominations no longer track moving targets.
    • Commander Monster Gruncah’s beam tracking speed reduced.
    • Annihilators and Living Artillery lose their guiding ability.
  • Spawn Adjustments:
    • Monster combinations and spawn patterns modified for stages 21-30.
    • Suicide Bombers spawn rate lowered in Stages 21/24/27 (5% → 1.7%).
    • Dmigor replaced with Plaudia as the Stage 29 Commander.
  • Faction-Specific Changes:
    • Legion of Darkness: Living Artillery group spawn rate reduced (33% → 20%).
    • Legion of Immortality: Farseers spawn rate reduced; Trackers no longer spawn with Farseers; Fortress Guards removed.
    • Order of Truth: Annihilators spawn rate reduced; Annihilators no longer spawn with Wardens; Ascetics removed.
  • Gameplay Adjustments:
    • Solo mode difficulty reduced.
    • Attribute Attack of weapons increased.
    • Commander Monsters nerfed in 2-4 player modes.

Descendant Adjustments:

  • Ines: Skill range module now affects hit count for Chain Lightning, Lightning Conductor, Snare Hunter, and Floating Lightning.
  • Keelan: Skill range module now affects target count for Void Corrosion.

Weapon & Module Improvements:

  • Ultimate Weapon Adjustments:
    • The Last Dagger: Firearm ATK increased by 29%; enhanced ability stacking and speed boosts added.
    • Restored Relic: Cluster Rounds now track enemies upon explosion.
    • Sigvore’s Proof: Sticky Bomb damage increases based on installed bombs.
  • Weapon Buffs:
    • Increased Firearm ATK for multiple rare weapons, including Red Wolf, Assassin’s Edge, The Devil’s Call, Magnus AA, and Death Roar.
    • Albion Cavalry Gun’s Ricochet effect brightness adjusted.
  • Ammo Drop Rates:
    • General, Special, Impact, and High-Power Rounds drop rates doubled.

UI & UX Enhancements:

  • Purchase button adjustments:
    • Non-Caliber purchases: PC (Space), PS (X), Xbox (A).
    • Caliber purchases: PC (F), PS (X), Xbox (A) with 0.5s hold time.
  • NPC Shop Upgrades:
    • Item tooltips and acquisition info now visible at Currency Info.
  • Void Erosion Purge Navigation:
    • Key for Next Stage changed from F → N on PC.

New In-Game Products:

  • Support Packages: Weekly Ion Accelerator, Fine Adjustment Control Axis, Special Growth Package.
  • Cosmetics & Skins: New emotes, name cards, Oasis Party Sets, and paint bundles.

Events:

  • Operation: Kate’s Experiment Assistant (Feb 12 – Feb 26): Daily & event challenges.
  • Operation Initiation (Feb 12 – Feb 18): Free customization item for logging in.
  • Operation: Burning Embers (Feb 26 – Mar 12): Daily & event challenges.
  • Operation: Daily Report (Feb 12 – Mar 12): 14-day login rewards.

Bug Fixes:

  • Respawn Fixes: Players in No Resurrection Zone will now respawn at a prior location with a deducted restart count.
  • Weapon Slot Adjustments: Slot in use no longer changes when moving between fields.
