No Man’s Sky Update 5.56 Fixes Crashes and Titan Expedition Issues

No Man’s Sky received a small but crucial update, version 5.56, on February 13, aimed at fixing crashes and ongoing gameplay issues. This update is particularly beneficial for PlayStation players, addressing game-ending crashes on PS5 and resolving multiple problems related to the Titan Expeditions.

Key Fixes in Update 5.56

This is the second update for No Man’s Sky in February, and while not as large as previous patches, it brings important stability improvements. According to the patch notes, some players running the PlayStation 4 version of the game on PlayStation 5 experienced game-ending crashes, which this update has now fixed.

Additionally, the patch resolves issues introduced in the Worlds Part 2 update, which launched in late January. The Titan Expedition, a new gameplay mode where players explore gas giant planets, had several bugs affecting progression. Three of the five fixes in this patch directly target Titan Expedition issues.

Continuous Improvements in No Man’s Sky

Hello Games has been dedicated to refining No Man’s Sky since its launch over eight years ago. Despite its rocky start, the game has seen numerous free updates that have expanded its universe and improved gameplay. The first February update, released just a day before version 5.56, addressed 25 different bugs, including major issues with teleporters and Nautilon platforms. Other fixes included correcting trader starships unexpectedly plummeting from gas giants, ships making incorrect water-landing sounds, and entire star systems going invisible on the galaxy map.

No Man’s Sky remains one of the most actively supported live-service games, with Hello Games continuing to enhance player experience with frequent patches and updates.
