Pokemon TCG Pocket Glitch Creates “MissingNo”-Like Digital Misprints

A newly discovered glitch in Pokémon TCG Pocket has been causing visual errors during pack openings, resulting in misaligned card visuals that resemble the classic MissingNo glitch from Pokémon Red and Blue. However, unlike MissingNo, this glitch does not affect cards permanently and disappears once they are added to a player’s collection.
“MissingNo” Glitch in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Reddit user mole_man1992 recently shared screenshots of a glitched pack in Pokémon TCG Pocket, where artwork appeared distorted and misaligned, causing some cards to look like digital misprints. The issue affected Poochyena and Manaphy cards, while another card was so visually corrupted that it was unrecognizable. The community quickly dubbed the glitch “MissingNo” due to its similarity to the infamous Red and Blue bug.
The Glitch Only Affects Pack Openings
Fortunately, this graphical bug is temporary and only occurs during the pack opening sequence. Once the affected cards are added to the collection, they appear completely normal. Unlike the original MissingNo glitch, which could corrupt save files in Pokémon Red and Blue, this issue is purely visual and does not impact gameplay.
Upcoming Fixes and Future Updates
Developers have yet to officially acknowledge the bug, but given Pokémon TCG Pocket’s frequent updates, a fix could be on the way soon. If recent leaks are accurate, a new event may also be coming later this month, featuring free packs from the Genetic Apex expansion. These packs will allegedly contain Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo cards and are rumored to be distributed from February 27 to April 30.
For now, Pokémon TCG Pocket players can rest easy knowing that this “MissingNo” glitch is harmless—even if it makes for a surprising pack-opening experience.
