Dark Souls 3 Gets Seamless Co-Op Mod—No More Resummoning, Just Pure Co-Op Action

The legendary modder behind seamless co-op experiences in Elden Ring, Sekiro, and Armored Core 6 is now bringing their expertise to Dark Souls 3. Fans of FromSoftware’s brutal yet beloved RPG can soon experience the game from start to finish with friends—without the usual multiplayer interruptions.

A New Era of Co-Op in Dark Souls 3

Known for creating the Elden Ring seamless co-op mod, modder Yui has announced a functional version of the same concept for Dark Souls 3. “After a long hiatus, I’m pleased to announce that I have developed a working version of the seamless co-op mod for Dark Souls 3,” Yui revealed on their Ko-Fi page. “This mod aims to make co-op multiplayer more fun and uninterrupted.”

Currently, Dark Souls 3 allows players to summon allies for assistance, but these companions vanish after boss fights or certain in-game events. With this new mod, players will be able to stay connected throughout the entire game. Persistent multiplayer sessions will remain intact even after deaths, boss victories, and teleportations.

Features That Change the Game

Yui’s mod introduces game-changing features:

  • Seamless Co-Op: No more resummoning—once you connect with a friend, you stay together.
  • Full Progress Synchronization: Keep all players on the same page, ensuring a shared experience.
  • Optional Difficulty Modifiers: Adjust enemy health or even enable friendly fire for an extra challenge.

Yui even showcased the mod in action with a co-op run through Lothric Castle, proving its functionality and fluidity.

Coming Soon—Prepare to Team Up

The mod is still in development, with a few bugs and quality-of-life tweaks in the works. However, based on Yui’s track record, this project is bound to be a game-changer for Dark Souls 3 fans who have longed for a true co-op adventure. Expect a release soon, and get ready to tackle Lothric’s toughest foes with friends—without the hassle of constant resummoning.

For Dark Souls 3 players eager for an uninterrupted multiplayer experience, this mod is shaping up to be an essential addition to the game.
