Honkai: Star Rail Leak Hints at Mr. Reca’s Playable Debut in Version 3.3

A fresh Honkai: Star Rail leak has revealed that Mr. Reca may finally become a playable character in Version 3.3. The game recently introduced the Remembrance Path, and players have been eager to see more characters from this class in action. According to the leak, Mr. Reca is expected to be a 4-Star Remembrance unit, making him the first of his kind in the game.
Mr. Reca’s Journey from NPC to Playable Character
Fans first encountered Mr. Reca in Version 2.6 during the Penacony storyline. Despite initial excitement, he remained an NPC while Rappa was introduced as a playable character. Since then, he has not appeared again, but speculation about his eventual playability has continued to grow.
Recent reports from known leakers Galaxy_Leak and UncleGreekMilk suggest that Mr. Reca’s kit is now complete, increasing the chances of his arrival in Version 3.3. Since HoYoverse has not included him in the Version 3.1 drip marketing, it seems players will need to wait a little longer for official confirmation. However, the leak strongly hints that his debut is imminent.
Fate/Stay Night Collaboration and Upcoming Characters
In addition to Mr. Reca’s rumored debut, the leak has also provided insight into Honkai: Star Rail’s anticipated collaboration with Fate/Stay Night. According to the leak, this crossover will introduce two limited playable characters, including a 4-Star unit. Previous rumors have pointed to fan-favorite anime characters Archer and Saber appearing in the game. The collaboration is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2025.
New Characters in Version 3.2 and Beyond
Meanwhile, Honkai: Star Rail has officially teased two new playable characters, Castorice and Anaxa, for Version 3.2. This means that only three Chrysos Heirs remain to be added to the playable roster. Additionally, another 4-Star character is rumored to debut in Version 3.7, possibly as a support unit for the yet-to-be-released Cyrene.
What’s Next for Honkai: Star Rail?
With the Version 3.1 update set to launch in late February, players can look forward to a special livestream on February 14, where more details about upcoming patches may be revealed. If the leaks are accurate, fans may not have to wait much longer to finally add Mr. Reca to their teams and experience the Fate/Stay Night crossover event.
