Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Is Getting Official Mod Support

Warhorse Studios Confirms Modding Tools and a Packed 2025 Roadmap

Official mod support is coming to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, giving players the ability to “create, tweak, and expand” their medieval adventure. Warhorse Studios announced the feature with a humorous image of protagonist Henry riding a pink-and-blue zebra while wielding a swordfish. While details are still scarce, the studio has confirmed that players will soon be able to customize their experience in Bohemia like never before.

Mod Support Will Extend the Game’s Longevity

As seen in other RPGs like Skyrim and Fallout 4, mod support can keep a game relevant long after launch. Recently, Baldur’s Gate 3 introduced official modding tools, sparking the creation of custom campaigns that will likely sustain interest in the game for years.

Though Warhorse has yet to reveal exactly how modding will work in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the announcement has already generated excitement among fans eager to customize their adventure with new content, mechanics, and cosmetic changes.

What Else Is Coming in 2025?

Beyond mod support, Warhorse Studios has unveiled a detailed roadmap for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in 2025. Players can expect both free updates and paid expansions, all included in the game’s season pass.

Spring (Free Updates)

  • Barber Feature
  • Hardcore Mode
  • Horse Racing

Summer (Paid DLC)

  • Brushes with Death

Autumn (Paid DLC)

  • Legacy of the Force

Winter (Paid DLC)

  • Mysteria Ecclesiae

While waiting for official mod support, players can still find fan-made mods on sites like Nexus Mods. Already, mods exist to make Henry’s shoes indestructible, add facial hair, and even make characters like Hans Capon playable. With the addition of official tools, the modding community will likely take things to an entirely new level.

With Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 shaping up to be an even bigger adventure than its predecessor, mod support and the upcoming expansions ensure players will have plenty to look forward to in 2025.
