Mecha BREAK ‘Global Storm’ Open Beta Test Begins February 23

The highly anticipated Mecha BREAK “Global Storm” open beta test is set to begin on February 23 at 2:00 a.m. PT / 5:00 a.m. ET, offering players a new chance to experience the game before its full release in Spring 2025. The beta will be available exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC players, as confirmed by developer Amazing Seasun Games.

New Mashmak PvPvE Mode and Gameplay Features

The Mecha BREAK “Global Storm” open beta will include several exciting features, with the biggest addition being the Mashmak PvPvE mode. In this new tactical co-op mode, players will battle across the Mashmak Isles, a resource-rich battlefield filled with dangerous Corite-induced pulse storms. To survive, players must adapt their strategies, use newly developed equipment, and engage in intense close-quarters combat.

Additionally, returning game modes from previous beta tests will be available:

  • 3v3 Ace Arena
  • 6v6 Operation VERGE

The open beta will also offer a wide selection of 13 unique mechs, an explorable space station, character and mech customization, a training room, and a tutorial introduction sequence.

Xbox Console Exclusivity and Future PlayStation 5 Release

Earlier this month, Amazing Seasun Games confirmed that Mecha BREAK will launch as an Xbox Series X|S console exclusive, meaning PlayStation 5 players must wait until later in 2025 for their chance to experience the game. The PC version will be available on both Steam and the Xbox app, with cross-save and cross-play support between platforms. Xbox developers have also collaborated with Amazing Seasun Games to ensure smooth cross-platform gameplay.

While the end date for the open beta has not been revealed, it is expected to run for a limited time.
