Nintendo May Still Have a Surprise for the Switch 2
While many details about the Switch 2 have leaked, Nintendo veteran Takaya Imamura believes the company still has a big surprise in store.
What We Know So Far
Leaks have already revealed that the Switch 2 will feature:
- Backwards compatibility
- Magnetically attached Joy-Cons
- Joy-Cons doubling as a mouse
- A new Mario Kart in development
A Big Surprise Still Coming?
Imamura, a Nintendo veteran with over 32 years of experience, hinted that Nintendo may have one more major reveal. He stated:
“I think they’ve still got something up their sleeves.”
Given Nintendo’s history of surprises, many believe this secret could be a major software announcement rather than new hardware.
When Will We Know More?
Nintendo will host a Switch 2 Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025, where it will reveal:
- Full console specs
- More launch titles
- Potential surprises
