Pokemon Adds Life-Size Ekans and Serperior Plushies in Limited Regional Release

Pokemon fans have two more life-size plush toys to look forward to, as Ekans and Serperior join the exclusive lineup. However, acquiring these plushies may be a challenge, as they are currently set for a limited regional release.
Exclusive Ekans and Serperior Plushies Announced
Over the years, Pokemon has released numerous plush toys, but life-size versions remain rare and highly sought-after. Previous releases include Psyduck, Porygon, and Gardevoir, and now Ekans and Serperior are set to join the collection.
These plushies have been introduced as part of Pokemon’s Year of the Snake celebrations. Ekans measures approximately 2 meters (6.5 feet), while Serperior stands at an impressive 3.3 meters (nearly 11 feet), mirroring their official Pokedex entries. A unique feature of these plushies is their posability, allowing fans to adjust their coils and elevate their heads.
For now, these plushies will only be available at Pokemon Centers in China, with no confirmed release for other regions.
Expected Pricing for Life-Size Ekans and Serperior Plushies
While the exact price for Ekans and Serperior has not been revealed, previous life-size Pokemon plushes provide some insight. Here’s a look at past releases:
- Psyduck: $288 (2020)
- Porygon: $390
- Gardevoir: $325
- Slowpoke: $450
- Spheal: $450
Given these price points, it is likely that the new Snake Pokemon plushies will be similarly priced in the hundreds of dollars. Despite their slimmer design compared to bulkier plushes like Slowpoke and Spheal, their impressive length may justify a comparable cost.
Will Ekans and Serperior Get a Global Release?
While these plushies are currently limited to China, fans should not lose hope for a wider release. Several past region-exclusive plushes, including the giant Spheal, initially launched in select markets before expanding globally. If sales in China are strong and fan demand is high, there’s a good chance these plushies will eventually make their way to Japan and Western markets.
For now, collectors will have to wait for official announcements. In the meantime, Pokemon fans can explore a vast selection of smaller plush toys featuring Ekans, Serperior, and other beloved Pokemon to tide them over.
