PUBG: Battlegrounds Update 34.1 – Weapon Tweaks, Vehicle Enhancements, and 1v1 Arena Mode

The latest PUBG: Battlegrounds Update 34.1 has arrived, bringing significant gameplay adjustments, weapon and vehicle rebalances, and a revamped 1v1 Arena mode. With a new Ranked season also kicking off, players can look forward to fresh challenges and rewards.

Weapon Changes

• MK12: Increased vertical and horizontal recoil by 10%, reducing its effectiveness in long-range combat. Damage over distance has also been reduced.
• 7.62mm Ammo: Weight reduced from 0.7 to 0.6, allowing players to carry more ammunition.
• Shotguns Adjustments:
  • S1897: Reduced buckshot spread (-10%) and improved pump action speed (0.61s → 0.55s).
  • S12K: Increased buckshot spread (+5%) and slightly reduced damage (24 → 23).
  • S686: Reduced buckshot spread (-12%) to improve accuracy.
  • DBS: Improved effectiveness over distance (+20%) with reduced recoil (-10% vertical and horizontal).
• Spawn Rates: Shotgun spawn rates have been adjusted for better availability balance.

Vehicle Enhancements

• Speed Boosts:
  • UAZ, Pickup, Food Truck, Porter, Blanc: Slight increase in max speed.
  • Dacia, Motorbike, Buggy, Quad, Van, Snowmobile, Boat, Dirt Bike: Max speed increased by ~10%.
  • Pillar Security Car: Max speed reduced by ~10%.
• Acceleration Adjustments:
  • Improved initial acceleration for multiple vehicles, including UAZ, Dacia, Motorbike, Buggy, and Quad.
  • Pillar Security Car now has slightly reduced acceleration.
• Trunk System Added:
  • Vehicles like Dacia, Mirado, Pony Coupe, and Coupe RB now feature trunks for extra storage.
  • Pillar Security Car trunk capacity reduced (400 → 150).
• Other Improvements:
  • Increased tire HP for Buggy and Quad.
  • Dacia now has better friction on snow and ice.

1v1 Arena Mode Overhaul

• Accessibility Improvements: Now available via Arcade mode for easier access.
• New Rules:
  • Three-round matches, each lasting 60 seconds.
  • Players can select their gear before fights.
  • Option to host 1v1 duels via Custom Matches.
• New ‘Ready Up’ Feature: Allows players to signal when they are prepared to start.

Ranked Season 34

• New season introduces exclusive rewards, including MG3 weapon skins and animated emblems.
• Leaderboard reset following live server maintenance.

Map Changes

• Sanhok: Quarry, Ruins, and Tambang now feature destructible terrain.
• Erangel & Taego: Gas stations revamped with added Fuel Pumps; some stations converted into ruins.

Bug Fixes & Optimizations
