PUBG: Blindspot – A Tactical Shooter Spin-off Set for Steam Demo on February 21

The top-down PUBG spinoff formerly known as Project Arc has officially been renamed PUBG: Blindspot, and players will soon get their first hands-on experience. A playable demo is set to launch on Steam on February 21, just ahead of the upcoming Steam Next Fest.
PUBG: Blindspot is a 5v5 top-down tactical shooter that has drawn comparisons to Rainbow Six Siege, according to early impressions. The game offers a team deathmatch mode, but the highlight appears to be Demolition mode, where one team must infiltrate and plant an objective at one of two designated points, while defenders reinforce walls and set traps to slow them down.
A key mechanic in Blindspot is shared line of sight, meaning players can only see what their teammates see, adding a tactical layer to positioning and teamwork. The game also removes respawns, making every round high-stakes and often decided by a single well-executed ambush or tactical maneuver.
While PUBG: Blindspot is loosely connected to the broader PUBG universe, its gameplay feels like a fresh experience. With further refinement to its controls and onboarding experience, it could carve out a niche as an accessible but intense tactical shooter for players who prefer a more streamlined alternative to Rainbow Six Siege.
A full release date for PUBG: Blindspot has yet to be announced, but fans can try it out starting February 21 on Steam.
